Privacy Policy

We treat your information with the same care we hope you bring to your reading. This page explains, plainly, what is collected and why.

Overview

Evaya is a Bible listening and reflection app. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible, and to be clear about the information we do collect. This Privacy Policy describes the data we may receive when you use Evaya, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We May Collect

  • Account information — if you create an account (for example, an email address or a sign-in identifier from Apple), we store this so you can access your data across devices.
  • Subscription information — if you purchase a subscription, we receive the receipt and status of that subscription so we can provide access to premium features. Payment is handled by Apple; we do not receive your card details.
  • Usage data — basic, aggregated information about how the app is used (for example, which screens are visited or whether audio plays correctly). This helps us fix problems and improve the app.
  • Diagnostic data — crash reports and error logs, used solely to diagnose and resolve issues in the app.
  • Reflections and saved content — any reflections, highlights, or saved passages you create are stored so they remain available to you on your device and account.

App Store Subscriptions

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. Billing, renewal, refund, and family-sharing rules follow Apple's standard terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Apple ID account settings on your device. Apple may share a subscription receipt and status with Evaya so that the correct level of access can be granted within the app.

Subscription Management with RevenueCat

Evaya may use RevenueCat, a subscription management platform, to verify and synchronize your subscription status across devices. When you purchase or restore a subscription, a non-personal subscription identifier and the receipt may be shared with RevenueCat to confirm entitlement. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment details from us. You can review their practices in the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

How We Use Information

  • To provide and maintain the Evaya app and its features.
  • To deliver the appropriate level of access for your subscription.
  • To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve quality.
  • To respond to your support requests and feedback.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers necessary to operate Evaya — such as cloud hosting, crash reporting, and the subscription management service described above — and only the minimum information they need to perform their function. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data Retention

We retain account and subscription information for as long as your account is active. You may request that we delete your account and associated data by writing to support@evaya.app. Some information (such as billing records held by Apple) is retained according to the respective provider's policy.

Your Choices

  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in Apple ID settings.
  • You can request access to or deletion of your data by emailing us.
  • You can disable diagnostic sharing in your device settings.

Children

Evaya is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated within the app or by email when appropriate.
